Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills: Requires vocational training or the equivalent experience and may require external certification but typically does not require a university degree Able to do basic math Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, schematic and blueprints Ability to use a personal computer and various software such as SAP MII Ability to read and comprehend Schematics, Multi-Meter & Ammeter Utilization, 3 phase & Single phase motor control, PLC & Ladder Logic programming & understanding (AB SLC-500 & Micrologix, Control logix), Soldering, Mechanical, Power tool usage capability, Welding: Arc and/or TIG, Pipe fitting; Soldering / Threading, Power Transmission applications knowledge (Gearboxes, sprockets, & Belts), Pneumatics / Hydraulics Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with plant personal, supervisors, and managers Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Key Job Responsibilities: • Performs specialized technical tasks required to support operations (e.g., IT development, research support, skilled trade) • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures • Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc.
