Maintains safety precautions while providing patient care including infection control isolation techniques, patient/bed positioning, side rails, restraint utilization, skin care, patient/specimen transport, physical environment, awareness, fall prevention, seizure precautions, suicide screening, and work injury prevention. Demonstrates appropriate skill in utilization of the computer for automated order entry, data retrieval, medication administration, nursing care planning and intervention and interdepartmental communication as determined by defined access levels.
