DUTIES: Prepare structural designs for non-prestressed, precast concrete structures, including drainage inlets, manholes, box culverts, pipe end walls/retaining walls, liquid-holding tanks, dry utility vaults, and underground detention systems. Familiarity with structural design criteria: LRFD bridge design, live load analysis, soil/structure interaction, flotation resistance, lifting considerations, embedded plates/anchor design, seismic considerations, serviceability, durability, and stability.
