The main function of a Material Control Specialist is to perform the function of material coordination for the design and construction of engineering projects by completing material administrative tasks throughout the project cycle, ensuring correct scheduling of material to meet project requirements, and manage material documents necessary to complete the design, track status and reconcile material assets installed for projects. * Handle (receive, route for review, coordinate approval, expedite certified) vendor approval drawings; Manage vendor drawings and technical data to ensure timely receipt for use in design, timely approvals to facilitate the fabrication schedule and proper retention to comply with DOT requirements.
