  We are seeking Part-time Security Officers for the Portland International Airport.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Must be 18 years of age.* Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, forklift and pallet jack operations, pallet building, and inventory procedures.* Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.* This position requires regular and constant lifting/moving/pulling or pushing of 27-55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 170 pounds (full beer kegs).*

In retail accounts, work product from store back stock and/or delivery loads; handling cases, bottles and cans of beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages for the purpose of sale or storage. This includes filling and rotating product in cold boxes, on dry shelves, and building and maintaining displays with POS (point of sale) as necessary.

As part of the day-to-day responsibilities Merchandisers execute merchandising directives and re-sets, establish a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, and relay information to Scotts Sales team regarding inventory opportunities. In the absence of a signed Master Service Agreement, and specific approval to submit resumes to an approved requisition, the Scotts Miracle-Gro company will not consider or approve payment regarding recruiter fees or referral compensations.

Workers must follow all site safety rules, wear required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots), attend safety briefings, use proper lifting techniques, and report hazards or injuries immediately. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and outdoor or industrial environments.
