PHYSICAL EFFORT: Involves physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, pushing cleaning carts, carrying boxes of amenities, vacuums and mops; moving heavy beds, sofas, dressers, and TV armoires; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; moving and placing heavy linen in linen rooms; frequently pushes carts loaded with dirty laundry or waste paper and trash, and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance. Involuntarily separated members of the armed forces and eligible family members applying through the Transition Assistance Program must submit a written request/statement (may be obtained from the MCCS Human Resources Office) and present ID card with "TA" stamped in red on front of card.
