Position Qualifications: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling, or other degree deemed equivalent to those described) from an accredited college and with at least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness;Knowledge of counseling skills and techniquesKnowledge of mental health services and agenciesKnowledge of mental health diagnosisMust have successfully completed CPR, First Aid, and TOVA behavioral management trainingCandidate must meet eligibility for employment through successful criminal and central registry checkAll applicants must be able to present QMHP status with the VA Board of Counseling or have the ability to obtain attestation from previous employment in the mental health field.
