Skills required: cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), use of rapid response/code teams, IV therapy including central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, CVA care, peripheral nerve block catheters, total joint replacement care, surgical drain management, chest tube management, CPAP/BiPAP and high flow nasal cannula management, tracheostomy care, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound care/wound vac. PCU Float position within a telemetry/progressive care setting including MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units.
