Ways you will make a difference: • Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc.) using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe and PC • Cleans, lubricates and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation • Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule • Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders etc.) on production machinery to run a different size, shape or product • Reads blueprints, diagrams, programs /ladder logic and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation • Installs new equipment • Actively seeks to find problems in assignment area and correct before the problem becomes critical with high supervision • Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems • Displays cooperation by working closely with production personnel • Improves work related skills by actively pursuing outside schooling or plant provided programs • Performs other duties as assigned. Experiences that will support your success: 3 years of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR completion of 2 year Technical Degree in maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or related area of study AND 1 year of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
