The Machinist #3 loads, operates, and unloads a variety of conventional machines, presses, saws, and other industrial related equipment to produce parts per manufacturing process.

Typical tasks include, but are not limited to the following: Build and / or disassemble a variety of new technology production gas turbine engine modules, subassemblies and accessories.

p>Qualification You Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement or closely related field OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement or closely related field.

  • Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.

li>Work with the Government Property Management department to ensure government-owned property is properly managed, dispositioned and identified as needed with any required documentation per Management System Manual PW 5.3.4 L2.

Devise and develop new tooling, welding and fabrication methods to meet special one-time applications and perform repair and customer assist work as assigned to support ongoing development of existing production programs and new product introduction. Perform similar duties to weld or fabricate production and development parts, assemblies and details and to assist in new process development work with engineering and others assigned to special projects where tooling and fixturing modifications are required.
