Skill in the use of tools, materials and equipment used in the HVAC systems and HVAC control systems trades, ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, logic diagrams, schematics, specifications, codes, handbooks, and written operational sequences; skill in locating defects, adjusting, installing, and maintaining HVAC control systems and equipment, the ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions and the ability to fabricate parts. This includes the routine and preventative maintenance, repair, and upgrade of HVAC systems and control systems, and the associated administrative duties such as ordering parts, setting priorities for service requests, training other employees, and attending meetings related to changes and impacts to the HVAC system.
