p>EDM Machinist Responsibilities: Reviews work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and CNC EDM parameters to create parts according to customer blueprints and instructions Monitors machine coolants, lubricants, oils, fluids, grease, and fills as required and documents maintenance on Coolant Fluid Maintenance Log Programs, sets-up, and runs CNC EDM equipment Performs preventative maintenance of EDM machines as required Closely monitors and adjusts operation of machines and/or tooling while regularly inspecting parts for conformance to requirements Designs, fabricates and/or provides support to manufacturing personnel for tooling, cutters, work holding, fixtures, jaws, and procurements required to manufacture parts.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent 5 - 10 years of experience in a precision machine shop environment Experience working on at least two major types of CNC machines Recent experience with programming CNC equipment utilizing CAD/CAM software systems Must interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
