Safety/Physical Requirements: work generally performed in a climate and temperature-controlled building, with periodic work in network closets, ceilings, and outdoor locations when installing or repairing equipment and cabling; sit, walk, kneel, bend at both the waist and knee, climb ladders, reach with the arms over the head, and hear, both on the telephone and in person, using regular conversational tones; vision requires the ability to focus and read printouts, computer screens, and other written material, and to distinguish cable colors. Monitors network performance and availability using network monitoring tools; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves connectivity, performance, and outage issues on the City’s Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
