Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field; 2+ years of professional experience supporting college students through advising, academic coaching, or related areas; Knowledge of institutional policies, processes, and regulations (e.g., FERPA, Minnesota State system), and the ability to leverage cross-functional understanding of campus services (e.g., Financial Aid, Basic Needs, Tutoring) to provide coordinated, retention-focused advising; Experience applying student development theories and advising models in higher education practice; Strong data management skills, including the ability to track, analyze, and accurately report student data; Proficiency in a language other than English and/or demonstrated ability to work effectively across languages and cultures. To assist students with meeting developmental, educational, and career needs, the Pathway Advisor will make timely referrals to additional support services, including Financial Aid, Counseling & Wellness, Career Services, Access & Disability Resources, Basic Needs, and Academic Support.
