The main job tasks include: Independently assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care using evidence-based nursing practice and appropriate growth and development principlesImplement the clinician's plan of care while providing safe, ethical, efficient, and patient-centered nursing careDocument, evaluate, and revise patient care plans based on ongoing assessment findings and patient response to treatmentCoordinate patient care throughout the entire episode of care, from assessment through discharge, to support continuity, safety, and optimal outcomesPerform or appropriately delegate technical aspects of patient care, including phlebotomy, intravenous cannulation, medication administration, oxygen therapy, EKGs, assistance with sterile procedures, and procedural sedation supportOperate and interpret telemetry, cardiac monitoring systems, rhythm recognition equipment, defibrillators, and other emergency medicine equipment consistent with role competencyApply critical thinking, clinical judgment, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced acute ambulatory care environment Schedule Work hours are based on clinic staffing and operational needs and may include a mixture of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. The RN independently assesses patient needs, develops and evaluates individualized plans of care, implements nursing interventions, and coordinates care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice clinicians (APCs), paramedics, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
