This person will be responsible for understanding all aspects of the financial statements, disclosure requirements, researching, resolving and documenting complex accounting issues and transactions, such as operating segments, business combinations, divestitures, hedge accounting, debt modification/extinguishment, asset retirement obligations, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, lease accounting, variable interest entities, derivatives, and impairment considerations, including goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible assets with a general understanding of business/asset valuations, stock based compensation, other non-recurring transactions and SEC disclosure requirements and comments.
