Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care including chemotherapy and targeted therapies for patients with CNS tumors and predisposing conditions such as neurofibromatosis Type 1 and 2, attending pediatric neuro-oncology tumor board, interpreting molecular profiling and genetic mutation data to guide individualized therapy, monitoring the progress and overseeing the care of brain tumor patients regionally, providing direct care in Oakland and virtual care in the two partnering sites. Interested parties should possess excellent interpersonal communication and teaching skills, be comfortable enrolling patients on clinical trials, and collaborate well with a multi-disciplinary team including pediatric neuro-surgery, pediatric hematology/oncology, pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, and pediatric subspecialty colleagues.
