In the performance of analytical testing the Tech must have knowledge and competency with the following: Test requests (i.e. requirements for filling out test request forms, authorization to accept verbal orders, etc.), Specimen collection, Specimen types/stability, Specimen Transport, and Specimen Receipt/Processing. With team accountability at the forefront of your work ethic and knowing the sacred trust placed upon us by those we are serving, the Medical Laboratory Technologist is the laboratory’s front-line personnel in the performance, with accuracy and skill, the analytical testing of patient samples.
