p>WM has the largest disposal network and collection fleet in North America, is the largest recycler of post-consumer materials and is the leader in beneficial reuse of landfill gas, with a growing network of renewable natural gas plants and the most gas-to-electricity plants in North America. The Accounting Analyst II will provide accounting and finance coverage for all WM Area Finance/Accounting teams and Corporate Finance/Accounting departments (i.e. finance, accounting, internal audit, treasury).

Fervo is scaling rapidly, so this role requires strong ownership, crisp communication, a controls mindset, and the ability to partner effectively across Accounting, Finance, Operations, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Commercial, and external advisors. The Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting will support the Operations Controller team with preparation and analysis of internal financial statements, capital and operating expense accruals, AFE maintenance, SOX controls and audit support.
The position ensures full compliance with Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) rules, Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) billing requirements, Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidance, HISD policies, and applicable federal Medicaid regulations, while safeguarding district financial integrity and audit readiness. The Executive Director \u2013 School Health and Related Services Program Accountant \u2013 Accounting & Finance serves as HISD's lead finance/accounting operator for its SHARS Program, a Texas-administered Medicaid program operating under federal Medicaid law.
