The Controls Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the electrical and computer-based control systems that operate machinery on the production line, ensuring smooth operation by identifying and resolving issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other automation components, often working closely with maintenance and production staff to optimize production processes. Responsible for the commissioning, diagnosis, calibration, maintenance, and repair of environmental-control systems and processes, utilizing knowledge of electronics, direct digital control (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, pH sensors, flow meters, electrical meters, and system control techniques.
