The clinical pharmacy specialist (tier 4) provides for staff development activities and the coordination of staff operational activities within medical intensive care and other assigned areas; serves as educational and informational resource to physicians, medical residents, advanced practice providers, pharmacy staff, nursing staff, patients, and other allied health professionals; assists with planning, organizing, and implementation of clinical pharmacy programs across Premier Health; identifies processes and tools to guide the pharmacy staff in the utilization of the most appropriate and cost-effective medication therapy including drug preparation and procurement, ensuring high quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes.
