Responsibilities Providing direct and indirect instructional support to students Planning and carrying out plans to support English language acquisition in the classroom, based on English Learner assessments and needs Demonstrating knowledge of the developmental and linguistic levels of students and the different ways these students learn by providing differentiated learning experiences Engaging families in discussion of student needs, progress and support Anticipating and responding appropriately to conflicts or misunderstandings arising from differences in backgrounds, languages, and identities Facility with analyzing data and creating action plans to improve student outcomes Supporting other educators in implementing best practices for English learners Contributing to the EL team.
