This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams throughout project development and reviews to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards. Candidates should be adaptable, as flexibility in work hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.Job Responsibilities:(May include, but are not limited to, the following)Core Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manage the electrical scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects.</li><li>Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering/design, manufacturing, and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project closure.</li><li>Assist with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective with key emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of systems with specialized technical expertise in the application and use of automation technology for plant facilities and processes.</li><li>Maintain accurate records for all automation programs and all changes to these systems.</li><li>Propose and execute improvements to existing automation systems and processes.</li><li>Focus on overall safety of facilities equipment and processes including responsibility and oversight of EHS policies.</li><li>Oversee contractor work and compliance with Howmet Aerospace, Federal/State, Environmental, Health and Safety policies.</li></ul> Additional Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides engineered solutions, recommendations and procurement of electrical hardware for production equipment. S upport the electrical testing, commissioning, and validation of new or modified hardware installations.</li><li>Generate and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, spare parts lists, hardware manuals, troubleshooting & repair procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance, mechanical engineers, process engineers, safety engineers, and other internal and external contacts in the coordination of system repairs / installs.</li><li>Provide field engineering and troubleshooting assistance to support maintenance, EHS and operation groups.</li><li>Perform engineering calculations, collect data and gather information to support equipment improvement initiatives for OEE improvements.</li><li> Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Facility Engineering Manager. </li></ul><img alt=" " height="1" src="https://ars2.equest.com/?response_id=fafa169876afa81b1dd3207cb5903523&view" width="1"/>

Nestled halfway between South Bend and Chicago, along the shores of Lake Michigan - our facility in La Porte, Indiana supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.Job Summary - This position is responsible for the dimensional integrity of an assigned portfolio of investment cast parts. Responsibility includes the design and acquisition of tooling, fixtures, gauges, and dimensional inspection plans necessary to produce parts that consistently meet or exceed our customers' requirements and expectations. Also, this position will identify and lead continuous improvement activities to reduce cost, improve scrap and rework yields, and improve the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
