He or she has not within a period of two (2) years hired himself or herself out, performed any service, or received any compensation from any private source for acting as a privately paid detective, policeman, guard, peace officer, or otherwise as an active participant in any labor dispute, or conducted the business of a private detective agency or of any agency supplying private detectives, private policeman, or private guards, or advertised or solicited any such business in connections with any labor dispute. Aside from community-wide initiatives like the Mayors Hike, Bike and Paddle event every Memorial Day and Labor Day, and the Healthy Hometown Movement, Metro Government provides employees with programs designed to enhance their life and well-being, like a Wellness Center that allows employees and their dependents with Metro health insurance to take care of their basic medical and health needs for a $5 co-pay.
