The incumbent serves as a workforce development advisor and Science and Engineering functional subject matter expert, working with SSC leadership, supervisors, employees, geographically separated units, functional managers, training organizations, and workforce partners to identify workforce needs and develop programs and solutions that strengthen S&E capabilities across the command. The position focuses on building and sustaining a technically capable S&E workforce through competency development, acquisition professional development, training, mentoring, career development, workforce analysis, succession planning, leadership development, and functional workforce policy.
