<div>Immediately hiring a Food Production Quality Inspector for a large company on the northeast side of San Antonio. The climate is 40-42 degrees. The quality inspector's main responsibility is to handle food safety, regulatory compliance, product quality monitoring, and production documentation. </div><div><br/></div><div>Pay is $18/hr. </div><div>Shift is Mon-Fri 5am-2pm (or until finished) </div><div><br/></div><div><strong>Duties: </strong></div><ul><li>Monitor production lines to ensure food products meet quality and safety standards.</li><li>Perform routine inspections of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and finished goods.</li><li>Verify compliance with SQF programs, HACCP plans, GMPs, and USDA regulations.</li><li>Conduct pre-operational and sanitation inspections before production starts.</li><li>Check temperatures, weights, labels, metal detector performance, and product specifications.</li><li>Collect samples for microbiological, chemical, or sensory testing.</li><li>Document quality checks, deviations, corrective actions, and inspection results.</li><li>Prepare records for USDA inspectors and third-party SQF audits.</li><li>Assist during USDA inspections and SQF certification audits.</li><li>Identify non-conforming products and placing affected items on hold.</li><li>Investigate customer complaints, product defects, or contamination concerns.</li><li>Train production employees on food safety procedures and sanitation practices.</li><li>Ensure allergen control procedures are followed correctly.</li><li>Monitor sanitation crews and verifying cleaning effectiveness.</li><li>Review batch records, lot traceability, and recall documentation.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div><strong>Requirements: </strong></div><ul><li>Seeking at least 1-2 years of experience quality in food production.</li><li>Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, and USDA regulations.</li><li>Experience with food safety audits and inspections.</li><li>Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work in cold environment.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div>Please call/text 210-664-2680</div>
