Performs pharmacist-in-charge - education & training of staff, supervises procurement of prescription drugs, devise and products dispensed, distribution, disposal, and storage of all pharmaceutical materials including drugs, chemicals, and biologics, maintains records/accountability of all transactions involving pharmaceutical materials as required by applicable state and federal laws, assures maintenance of controls against theft/diversion of prescription drugs, adheres to policies and procedures regarding pharmacy record maintenance within the data processing system, legally operates the pharmacy while complying with all state and federal laws and sections governing the practice of pharmacy. Maintains documentation in pharmacy patient record and the electronic medical record where applicable including but not limited to medication synchronization, patient adherence program, companion medication program, pharmacy administered immunizations and specialty medication dispensing.
