Appraisers begin with a 90-day period to evaluate performance, reliability, and alignment with company standards.In select markets, high-performing appraisers may be considered for limited salaried staff appraiser roles following this period. Engage appropriate appraisers and appraisals for complex commercial real estate property types and transactions. Review appraisal reports for compliance with bank policy and procedures, USPAP, and federal and state regulations. In a timely and professional manner, resolve deficiencies with appraisal reports. When requested, assist Regional Manager and or Chief Appraiser with national portfolios, warehouse lines, staff training and special valuation issues or projects.Manage and prioritize pending and active appraisal reviews so as to meet lending deadlines. Manage external vendor panel for assigned region. Consult and advise bank staff regarding real estate appraisal policy and procedures and state and federal appraisal regulations. The Phoenix, AZ office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Professional Liability Practice.  The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills and at least two (2) to fifteen (15) years of experience defending professional liability claims involving Directors & Officers, Legal Malpractice, Errors & Omissions, and Architects & Engineers. Admission to the Arizona Bar is required. Lewis Brisbois' Professional Liability Practice is comprised of attorneys located throughout all our offices nationwide. Either by way of direct engagement or retention through the professional's insurance carrier, we represent, among others: accountants, architects & engineers, attorneys, bankers, computer and media professionals, (cyber law), financial planners, healthcare providers, insurance brokers and agents, school districts and municipalities, property appraisers and inspectors, real estate appraisers, brokers and agents, and securities brokers (FINRA). Although we would prefer that you have some experience in professional liability law, we are also interested in working with developing talented attorneys who come to us with excellent skills in any litigation arena.
