Ideal candidates may have experience as a Business Personal Property Appraiser, Property Appraiser, Tax Appraiser, Tax Assessor, Property Tax Auditor, Assessment Technician, Tax Administration Specialist, Accountant, or in a related property tax, valuation, auditing, or financial analysis role. The Tax Administration Office is responsible for the discovery, listing, and appraisal of all real and personal property in Transylvania County as well as the collection of property taxes and maintaining Geographic Information System (GIS) records.
