Skills required: Mostly in-basket management: phone triaging, med refills, answering portal questions, FMLA and prior auth paperwork, could assist with rooming patients (vitals, med rec, medical history, etc.), pre/post-surgery education. Pre/post surgeries: gallbladder, appendectomies, colorectal, colon, G-tube, hernia repairs, bariatric (gastric sleeves and bypasses).
