Candidates of this role will be paid to attend the program. The cost of tuition and books will also be covered. While the program is in session, students will have the opportunity to begin their Hackensack Meridian Health orientation and onboarding. Upon successful completion of the EMT program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of employment at Hackensack Meridian Health as a full-time EMT.

Responsibilities:
<div>A day in the life of a EMT Apprentice at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:</div> <ul><li>Attends all training sessions (virtual and in person).</li><li>Completes all assigned coursework.</li><li>Verifies skills proficiency by passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians examination.</li><li>Interacts professionally with peers, patients, leadership, colleagues from other EMS agencies, public safety personnel, and hospital emergency department staff.</li><li>Responsible for baseline and continuing knowledge of all applicable State and Federal statutes and regulations concerning emergency medical services, basic life support ambulance service, EMT certification, etc.</li><li>Conducts self in a professional and dignified manner at all times, so as to preserve the public's  perception of HMH as New Jersey's leading healthcare provider.</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li><li>Other duties and/or projects as assigned.</li><li>Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.</li></ul>

Qualifications:

Starting Minimum Rate:
Flat Rate of $22.30 Hourly

Responsabilidades:
An Apprentice Electrician will:<ul><li>Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site.</li><li>Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.</li><li>Trace out short circuits in wiring.</li><li>Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.</li><li>Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.</li><li>Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.</li><li>Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas.</li><li>Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.</li><li>Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.</li><li>May operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician.</li><li>Assists in mounting and strapping conduit.</li><li>Assists more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.</li><li>Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.</li><li>An apprentice electrician will not work on energized circuits or equipment.</li></ul>
