Advanced degree in applied math, economics, statistics or other quantitative science 5+ years of experience in the field of consulting and/or development, retail pricing or promotional management with experience in practical data analysis Experience with advanced analytics techniques to model, forecast, and optimize decisions, particularly in pricing and promotions; includes econometric modeling, ML modeling techniques XGBoost and decision trees, and use of a Solver for optimization Experience developing analytical solutions for internal or external usage Advanced knowledge in statistical packages and comfort working with teams that make heavy use of Python and R Experience in collaborating with a team of statistical analysts Highly proficient at problem-solving challenging business issues with clients and McKinsey consultants Ability to juggle overlapping and frequent challenging commitment timelines and reprioritize as necessary to meet evolving business objectives Excellent communication and influencing skills that can be employed when partnering with clients and other partners to build relationships and achieve goals Ability to critically evaluate and communicate business issues/risks with conviction to clients and partners.
