The purpose of this position is to listen and collaborate with our clients to develop programming and design concepts which bring creativity and innovation. The candidate will have strong ability to work with and mentor younger designers and provide insights and guidance to the design group.  Areas of design specialty would be beneficial in any of TowerPinkster’s five core market sectors, as well as any advanced certifications or training.  POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Design Based:<ul><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Leading medium to large size project design and project teams (25,000sf to 200,000sf)</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Leading the project programming phase to understand client needs and desires</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Developing design iterations and leading discussions during concept design to refine ideas</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Interpreting, organizing and coordinating design assignments while executing client vision</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Planning and developing architectural projects with high complexities</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Research and implement sustainable design approaches into project solutions</li></ul>Technical Focused:<ul><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Lead exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection and development of concepts and building systems appropriate to client desires</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Create architectural design elements, design coordination, renderings and graphics utilizing strength of design department</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Lead material definition, system design of envelope and interior elements</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Guide code and municipality research to ensure compliance with requirements</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Support development of outline specifications and narratives</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Support role in project coordination and document development (all phases)</li></ul>Client and Professional Based:  <ul style="margin-bottom:16px"><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Leading medium to large size project design and project teams (25,000sf to 200,000sf)</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Leading the project programming phase to understand client needs and desires</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Prepare letter proposals and RFP responses</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Foster strong client relationships and continuing engagement</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Mentor design team members and promote learning opportunities</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Delegate work assignments for growth, matching responsibility to individuals and providing mentorship and coaching</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px">Work independently and connect with Department Manager for reviews and resources</li><li style="border:none;margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:16px">Set overall project expectations and monitor activities and progress of project</li></ul> POSITION QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li style="margin-left:32px">Licensed Architect or Architectural Designer with a minimum of 15 years’ experience </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Sketch and draw by hand and create computer generated 3d graphics</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Strong design sensibilities and leadership in early phases of project development</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Dynamic graphic presentations and solid design and communication skills</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Understand constructability and material selections that relate to design expression</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Present confidently to medium-to-large groups and represent the Firm positively in the community</li><li style="margin-left:32px">LEED, WELL or LFA accreditation preferred </li><li style="margin-left:32px">Working knowledge of REVIT and Photoshop</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Solid foundational knowledge of health and safety codes</li></ul> WHAT WE OFFER We take a holistic approach to ensure the wellbeing of our team members. We seek a design and technical-minded individual who brings creativity and ownership to projects every day. This position is responsible for complete landscape design solutions on projects. These include early concepts, design details, development, and production of documents for all site-related areas of the project.
