Within the scope of rehabilitation services, assists the physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, speech and language pathologist, audiologist, rehab doctor in the delivery of patient care by performing clerical duties including but not limited to assisting in patient departmental registration and non clinical duties including but not limited to preparation of the treatment area and transports patients to and from the department. A day in the life of a Physical Therapy Aide at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Responsible for the activities involved in the preparation and transport of patients and equipment to and from the department and in other areas of the hospital using proper procedure and good mechanics.
