The following are the functions essential to performing this job: Assist the Chief Flight Instructor in overseeing and managing flight and ground training in accordance with FAA regulations, approved Training Course Outlines, University policies, and departmental procedures. Participate in the Aviation Programs Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard identification, safety reporting, risk assessment, safety assurance, corrective actions, safety promotion, and monitoring operational safety trends.
