The Assistant Director of Food Services and Stores will also assist the Director in, and be prepared to step up in their and kitchen staff absence, the planning and distribution of labor, materials, supervision, and substitution when necessary for preparing meals in three main kitchens/dining areas on campus. In conjunction with the Director will participate in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
