In this capacity, the HPOE Director provides strategic direction in the design, development, administration, implementation, assessment, coordination, and continuous improvement of health-related programs, services, health education materials, communications, and social media; and health promotion policy, advocacy, campaigns, and initiatives that foster health, well-being, and harm reduction among the diverse population of 3,100 graduate and professional health sciences students at UCSF. Provides leadership, overall direction, planning and management of the Health Promotion, Outreach and Education servicesincluding a team of health education and promotion professionals in various areas of wellness, including: Mental Health and Wellbeing; Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion + Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism (JEDI/ABAR); Sexual Health; Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug; Physical Health, and others.
