Transportation staff will arrive at the unit with the transport vehicle (i.e., stretcher or wheelchair) specified at the time of request, stop at the Nursing station to retrieve the chart and/or card, report to the patient's room, greet the patient by name, identify the patient by armband, introduce themselves to the parents, patient and nursing staff as appropriate.
