Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed PCU/Stepdown unit at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing a diverse patient population including diagnoses such as laryngectomy, PE, DVT, fem-pop bypass, CHF, COPD, AMS, afib with RVR, limb ischemia, GI bleed, pneumonia, and flap procedures. Perform and manage advanced clinical skills including BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, wound/skin care, blood product administration, and central line care.
