Initiatives and programs for which this position has managerial oversight may include but are not limited to university-wide daily emergency management administration, approval of budgeted departmental funds for expenditures within designated program allocations, emergency plan development, business continuity, emergency communications and community preparedness and engagement, emergency preparedness training for faculty, staff, and students, general life safety and community resilience programs, and emergency notification systems. Leads and manages the program staff, contractors, interns, and other personnel resources responsible for emergency management program functions within the Emergency Management Department supporting university mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts which includes regular meetings with assigned direct report staff including, but not limited to coaching, performance evaluations/improvement, professional development.
