Provide athletic training services in sports health and medicine clinics to include; obtain a thorough history, review medical records and documents, orthopedic evaluation, therapeutic exercise teaching and demonstration, assist with coordination of care, provide applicable needs (DME, casting, brace fitting, splinting, and post-operative wound and dressing care assist health care providers in other needs during clinic. The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the management and provision of care of injuries, as well as teaching preventative measures to avoid injuries, to physically active pediatric students/patients as defined in the state practice act under the direction of a licensed physician.
