Build strong working relationships with clients to gather information and resolve problems. Identify, communicate and solve engagement and technical issues as well as communicating engagement progress in a timely and organized manner. Supervise, train and mentor Audit Associates. Work as an effective team member to successfully complete engagements including: Preparing financial statements, footnote disclosures and management letter comments. Assisting with engagement administration including planning engagements, developing audit programs and customized procedures, budgets and wrap-up. Researching and analyzing financial statement and audit related issues. SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: Lead and perform audits utilizing a risk-based approach in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards (Standards) and department policies and procedures in addition to regulatory standards. Perform simple and complicated audits of all areas of the corporation with minimal advice and direction. Plan the work as well as supervise and train the staff auditors on the assignments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Workpaper documentation and findings should be completed in a manner consistent with departmental standards, with conclusions and reportable issues adequately supported and documented. Performance of assigned audit fieldwork which may include the following: a. Permanent file documentation. b. Compliance testing of internal policy/procedure as well as regulatory issues. c. Substantive testing of account balances as they effect the income statement/balance sheet. d. Documenting and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. 2. When serving as Auditor-in-Charge, perform independent research and planning to determine appropriate scoping occurs, including proposed adjustments to audit programs and testing based upon research and risk considerations. 3. When serving as Auditor-in-Charge conduct pre-audit and exit conferences with functional unit management in order to ensure an adequate understanding of audit scope and issues occurs. Draft audit reports in accordance with department standards. Present audit results to Audit Committee as assigned by the Chief Auditor. 4. Complete assigned audits in a timely manner while employing efficient methods. Keep Audit management informed of issues, changes in circumstances, newly identified risks and need for revision in audit approaches, etc. 5. Complete administrative duties and responsibilities such as departmental time summaries, engagement time budgets and projections, quality completion of annual risk assessments, administrative binder completion and CAF updates in a timely and effective manner. 6. Keep abreast of latest developments in audit/accounting practices and procedures. Continue professional development through self-training and attendance at various Bank audit and accounting seminars/conferences and required ethics training. 7. Provide oversight of the work of others assisting with audits which may include workpaper review. Also, perform on the job training for Staff Auditors and Audit Trainees and complete short-form evaluations in a timely manner for each staff member as applicable. 8. Develop and implement systems, process and financial models to support management, You will report to the Global Manufacturing Controller and be located at our Blairsville, PA location. • Lead the annual physical inventory and coordinate with plant operations team and external auditors.
• Reconcile monthly inventory and complete monthly inventory forecast with variance analysis.
• Prepare and update yearly Standard Costs and perform appropriate variance analysis. Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 4+ years of broad-based finance experience, in analytical roles.
• Knowledge of financial processes, and associated improvement programs and cost reduction processes.
• MBA or CPA or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Manufacturing/ Cost accounting experience preferred.
