Essential Functions of a CDL A Fleet Mechanic at SWTO: Provides mechanical and technical support for the Company transportation fleet; diagnoses, repairs and maintains Class 8 vehicles, petroleum tank trailers, medium duty specialty vehicles and light duty automotive vehicles; utilizes outside contractors to complete repairs as needed. Ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of components necessary for safe, proper function of assigned equipment, including, but not limited to, electrical, brakes, chassis, power train, suspension, engine and other specialty items such as PTO’s and petroleum tank truck items.
