You will be part of a unique organization based within the manufacturing plant that drives synergies, technical rigor, and focuses on delivering projects with excellence utilizing standard work processes.Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead team(s) in delivering variety of projects from portfolio of smaller projects to full ownership of larger scale project through the entire project management life cycle from chartering the team to start-up of new / upgraded equipment working with internal and external resources.</li><li>Lead technology for process, packing, controls, warehouse, and/or facility equipment including scope definition, coordinating design with vendor / technical partners, and testing validation with engineering and start-up team.</li><li>Own critical engineering work process(es) including training / qualification, coach others in utilizing standard work processes, and maintain stewardship compliance.</li><li>Own project scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing along with associated documentation following standardized work processes, driving risk management / quick issue resolution, and leading project optimization.  Scope management, cost containment, and meeting deadlines will be key for successful project delivery.</li><li>Lead and/or lead team(s) for equipment VATs (vendor acceptance tests) on purchased equipment.  Ensure designs and installation comply with safety, quality, finance, and regulatory requirements.  Influence key stakeholders and maintain consistent communication on project status.</li><li>Drive collaboration with site / global engineering, technical vendors, equipment suppliers, and production site personnel displaying strong hand-on partnership with operations and supporting operational excellence.</li></ul><a href="http://www.pgcareers.com/us/en/pg-us-locations/cape-girardeau" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Click here to learn more about Cape</a>!Job QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>5+ years of demonstrated technical engineering in a professional setting or manufacturing environment.</li><li>5+ years of demonstrated project management skills with proven ability to deliver on budget and on schedule.</li><li>Proven ability to provide feedback to team and vendors on design changes needed to meet the plants deliverable.</li><li>Must be able to work onsite at Cape Girardeau, MO plant 5 days per week.</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%).</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering, or relevant related field.</li><li>Experience with Manufacturing operations, packing equipment, and/or process equipment.</li></ul>Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skills, and level of experience. The Programming / PLC Technician is responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of programmable logic controllers, automation systems, and communication networks across all underground and surface mining operations. · Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs for mining equipment, conveyors, ventilation, dewatering, and power distribution systems.

The Programming / PLC Technician is responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of programmable logic controllers, automation systems, and communication networks across all underground and surface mining operations. This role ensures reliable operation of electrically controlled systems critical to production, safety, and environmental compliance.Requirements·         Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs for mining equipment, conveyors, ventilation, dewatering, and power distribution systems.·         Troubleshoot automation faults using ladder logic, function block, and structured text programming.·         Integrate and calibrate field devices including sensors, VFDs, relays, encoders, and communication interfaces.·         Perform diagnostics and network maintenance on Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and fiber optic communication systems.·         Support real-time data acquisition, historian, and SCADA interfaces.·         Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and rapid fault resolution.·         Maintain and document PLC backups, I/O maps, network diagrams, and revision control for all systems.·         Assist in commissioning new equipment, verifying interlocks, control logic, and safety circuits.·         Provide technical training and field support to electricians and maintenance personnel on control systems.·         Work closely with engineering and operations to improve process efficiency and equipment reliability through automation upgrades.Typical Education & Experience ·         2+ years of experience in industrial automation or mining controls preferred.·         Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix platforms; experience with ABB or Toshiba systems a plus.·         Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control wiring, and instrumentation.·         MSHA certification preferred or willingness to obtain.·         Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred.BenefitsCompensation at an attractive hourly rate of $23.42-$29.58, depending on experience and process of obtaining electrical certification.In addition, there's potential to earn various bonuses based on safety, production metrics, and attendance.At Foresight Energy, we pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer.
