A Technician is expected to continuously learn new technical information and techniques in order to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology and perform work in accordance with specifications. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
The ideal candidate for this position has a college degree or some coursework (preferred), three years of experience in the automotive repair business, some supervisory/management/mentor experience, a continuous improvement background, P&L experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills. As a Midas Store Manager, you will manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the operation of the shop, including: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule and coach employees.
p>As an Automotive Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians and service professionals while developing the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary to diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), a structured apprenticeship program created by Kia America to help Military Veterans transition into the automotive industry.
