<h5>Aviation Management Teacher </h5>This full-time position requires a certified teacher who will successfully develop and implement all aspects of an aviation management program for high school students. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: <ul><li>Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and develops workplace attitudes. </li><li>Has working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, and current researched best practices and strategies, and students' learning styles and needs. </li><li>Update the curriculum to meet changing IN state standards and meet current NLPS requirements. </li><li>Establishes developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and communicates those to students and their families. </li><li>Creates lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting, as well as multicultural, gender-fair, disability sensitive. Selects, adapts, and individualizes materials appropriate for diverse student populations and skills. </li><li>Teaches students the required curricula using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning, and problem solving. </li><li>Manage the behavioral, social, and emotional issues of a diverse ethnic/racial student population. </li><li>Integrate academic standards for reading, writing and math skills into the curriculum. </li><li>Participates in ongoing and regular staff and individual professional development. </li><li>Demonstrate experience implementing innovative instructional programs. </li><li>Regularly assesses student learning by using multiple forms of assessment. </li><li>Collaborates with peers to develop, plan, and implement best practices based on the needs/abilities of the students. </li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Must hold a valid Indiana vocational license in Trade and Industrial: Aviation Operations or Must be able to obtain, at a minimum, an Indiana Workplace Specialist I teacher license in aviation operations. </li><li>Must have at least 5000 hours (2.5 years) of relevant industry experience in the last 5 years. </li></ul>
