HQ Aero is currently recruiting for TOOLING SUPPORT INTERNSin SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT 
What you will do: 
The Tooling Support Intern plays a vital role in supporting the Tooling Coordinator with the identification, organization and maintenance of the tooling for the shop. 
This role will assist with the tracking & storage, of tools and equipment, ensuring they are available when needed and properly maintained. This includes maintaining accurate records of tooling inventory & maintaining detailed records and inventory utilizing our system. 
This person will coordinate with the operations supervisor, tooling coordinator, production staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, timely completion of projects, and adherence to manufacturing specifications. Key Responsibilities: 
• Inventory Management<ul><li>Assist with tool inventory control, organization, and accountability</li><li>Issue, receive, inspect, and return tools using digital tracking systems</li><li>Support calibration tracking and ensure tooling compliance</li><li>Help stage tooling for maintenance work scopes and technician needs</li><li>Assist with tool audits, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy projects</li><li>Maintain tool room organization using 5S / lean principles</li><li>Support shipping/receiving of loaned or repaired tooling</li><li>Identify damaged, missing, or out-of-service tools for disposition</li><li>Maintain accurate records in systems such as tooling databases / ERP platforms</li><li>Support special tooling projects, shadow tooling coordinators, and learn repair station processes</li></ul> • Tool Kitting<ul><li>Organization of tooling Per Engine Model</li><li>Shadowing tooling into case and tool boxes</li><li>Creating Inventory Sheets for Tool Cases and Tool Boxes</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>Familiarity with general hand tools</li><li>Knowledge with Word /Excel / Power Point</li><li>SAP-preferred not required</li><li>High School Diploma</li><li>Strong Organization Skills</li><li>Strong Communication Skills</li></ul> Ideal Candidate:<ul><li>Currently enrolled in A&P school, recent graduate, or aviation maintenance student between semesters</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in aviation maintenance operations</li><li>Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable</li><li>Comfortable with computers and inventory systems</li><li>Able to lift tooling/equipment and work in an industrial environment</li><li>Interest in FAA repair station operations, tooling, quality, and maintenance support</li><li>Great exposure to: FAA Part 145 operations, maintenance tooling control, calibration systems, inventory management, lean operations, and aviation maintenance support workflows.</li></ul> DISCLAIMER
