Desirable Qualifications: Learn to correctly interpret and apply the laws, codes, policies, and procedures related to law enforcement automated information and records management systems; maintain accurate records and files; operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer terminal; work courteously with the public, other law enforcement agencies and departmental staff; understand and carry out written and oral directions, and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; work outdoors in all weather conditions; use equipment necessary to provide public safety; operate a two-way radio communication device; operate an automobile; and spend long hours on foot. No use of the following drugs within the past five (5) years: Cocaine, Hallucinogens, LSD, Heroin, Methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), Psilocybin (Mushrooms).No use of the following drug within the past two (2) years: Marijuana (Cannabis).Successful candidates must pass a thorough background investigation, which may include a criminal history check for job-related convictions, fingerprinting, a polygraph test, a credit check, and a check of drug use history.
