The Assistant General Counsel will represent and advocate the legal interests of West Virginia University, the WVU Board of Governors, the President, West Virginia University Research Corporation ("WVURC"), and others on legal matters affecting the University by rendering a broad array of legal services as assigned, including, without limitation: Provide direct policy-making input and advice on matters of substantial magnitude related to critical University activities, policy questions and operation procedures and, as needed, draft, modify, or review institutional policies, procedures, and practices. From the groundbreaking R1 research at our flagship campus in Morgantown to the career-oriented programs at WVU Potomac State in Keyser, and the technology-intensive programs at WVU Tech in Beckley, the contributions of WVU employees resonate across the state, touching lives and shaping futures.
