Evaluates progress cooperatively with the Speech Language Pathologist; Assists the Speech-Language Pathologist with required clerical/record keeping duties and classroom maintenance; Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills; Assists the Speech-Language Pathologist in devising special strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities; Alerts the Speech-Language Pathologist to any problem or special information about an individual student; Maintains a safe working environment and encourages colleagues to be safety minded in the performance of all school-related duties; Assists in arranging room, materials, and data walls; Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes; When requested, serves as a resource person to the teachers of students with disabilities; Assists, as directed by the Speech-Language Pathologist, in the effort to successfully maintain students with special needs in an inclusive setting, as determined by the IEP Team(s); Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community; Participates in in-service meetings, as assigned; Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures; and . - Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday; - Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 30 pounds rarely; - Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals) rarely; - Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely; - Normal setting for this job is an office/school setting.
